...whether any person is a criminal or not, USA has a rule, a guidance and a Magna Carta called: "We the people... "its constitution.
When as civilized group of people get together and create its Magna Carta, and that constitution is made to preserve the existence of that group, it is like its DNA of which does not matter the time, the groups will exist through centuries to come.
...when that Magna Carta is not followed to the letter, that group stop existing in the future.
...when that Magna Carta is not followed to the letter, the first group created stop existing in a few years after, wars, a social catastrophe, takes over and the DNA of that group does not reproduce, it dies until a good beneficial new group is created.
...that is why nation evolves on top of former nations as from the feudal times to a Democracy
