 ...Putin's intentions were only to weaken Ukraine and then taking all of it to be annexed to Russia's territory thinking it, Ukrainians would applaud his acts. When found out the resistance Ukrainians put to the invasion, then decided to destroy the most of it so it cannot fight back to take back their land of Crimea. But when saw he was making a mess, and his hegemony was at risk, then started employing resources vital for the functioning of his government, therefore menacing Russians themselves if they openly opposed to the invasion. Russia, as of now, cannot resist a full mass attack from NATO, cuz if so, Russia would plump like a ripe fruit on the land it is planted; then Putin started to menace the West saying he could use nuclear missiles against it. Cuz, politically, he noticed that Europe united behind NATO but send signals Russia would not be attack (condemning closing Ukrainian skies), he felt secure and started employing all he could on capital and human power in a "once and for all" war attack onto Ukraine (noticed that Europe could not hold for long feeding the attacked territory with up-to-date war hardware and ammunition, been the West too slow in supplying such things. Eureka! "I can win this war!" ...he concluded. And so, he is taking a suicidal step. The West and US are surprised and left frozen yet could send all the hardware to make Russia lose the war without closing the attacked territory' skies.

The President of Ukraine is correct, if Ukrainians are beaten, Putin is going to attach most former Soviet Republic alienated land using other tactics not physical weapon but false propaganda and cyber-attacks until succeeding they "liberate their nation from the West and NATO, most of them will stop been a member of NATO; some of their own citizens will give a coup to their own government ...then Putin would step in.

The above is not a prediction, is a Putin strategy to evolve slowly as situation arises.

...to force a change on that Putin's strategy, the West should supply Ukrainians with all kinds of weapons including modern warplanes for them themselves close their own skies if they could. Ukrainians can build more than two (2) million army ready to fight and win or will stop to exist forever as a nation state. Without the West help, they are dead forever and ever. The West has the means if they give it to the Slavs people. By making the Slavs win, Russia would not only lose the war, but would carry such a heavy economic burden that it would cost it few long years to recuperate a good economy to suffice its existence as a stable nation. The West has Russia’s future for it to lose or win, depending how Ukrainians are assisted or would see NATO to becomes less mighty against Russia to protect all of Europe and other nations to come in.

This Putin’s war had change to a non-planned strategy against or in Putin’s favor, so to all of Russia’s. If against, Russia would turn into a powerful Democracy …if in favor, Russia would turn into a new Empire same as it was with the Tsars a century ago.
