...it is easier to blow up in small pieces the Apophis 2029 asteroid than moving humans to live on Mars.  Two or more hydrogen bombs inserted inside and blowing at synced time would do the job.  Cost, less than sending a group of people to stay on Mars to make a living.  Some small debris would enter plannet earth that would burn before reaching its surface.  Some not to small would enter too but would be as the same as meteorites that enters very often causing minimum if none damages.  Think of that.
