TheFreeDictionary explains what it is, I here give my own

TheFreeDictionary explains what it is, I here give my own.

...this is what an elephant in the room means: a topic everyone knows of but, no one would like to discuss cuz it is either difficult to explain and it might embarrass the one of the most important guess or it is a shame to mention that would offend the person involved. Example: that's Ms. Christy's father. He got drunk in her last birthday celebration and pee right in front of everyone in the dancing room. Don't even dare to mention it here now or he'll fire you from your job. Be careful, don't get into trouble and get all of us in it (that's an elephant in the room, things everybody knows, comment on it at the office but don't dare to mention it at the party thrown by the boss in his home for his beloved daughter in her marriage celebration): it is seen but "no one notices".
...as a joke: visiting a neighbour and at the table while enjoining special food served by the new neighbour, from the family visiting, the father throw ...a gas that hit the surface of the chair and made a single echo almost unheard but noticed cuz everybody was on silence, eating, the father's 5 years old boy tells on the table: daddy, you threw a fat, and point to him.  Here the elephant is shown by the kid (kid or demon?).
